CQ 0.1.5 Devlog


 

Devlog:

  • All previously made placeholder scenes are now fully colored and inked.
  • New Obstacle type has been added to the game.



Roadmap:

  • Character portraits/emotes
    • gonna go for full body emotes when interacting or talking to other characters
      • Starting with Cinnamon.
      • Cinnamon, the characters at Madam Sasha's and a few other recurring npc's will have different emotes while speaking.
  • Sound track
    • The Hipster Lettuce is currently composing bgm for the game
      • some of these may appear in the next build or so.
  • Map Designs
    • Working on maps in Clip Studio and applying them to RPG maker.
    • Great plains maps will be adjusted first.
      • main changes will be adding a bridge between north and northwest section
      • the maps will be based on a world map idea that has been drawn to promote continuity between maps.
    • Solar Forest will only receive minor adjustments to account for new moves that Cinnamon will learn along her journey.
    • The Great Steppe might have a name change, The maps involved there will also be more labyrinth-like and designed like a puzzle.
    • Place-holders for other maps may also be updated at this time.
  • Enemy Types
    • Currently we only have the slimes.
      • in the future we will have at least 4 enemy types, with several sub-types (attacker, tank, buffer, etc.)
  • Character Progression
    • Leveling up will be replaced with a different system to give Cinnamon better stats and newer moves.
      • This will be based on Cinnamon's mental/dream world
  • Battle
    • Gonna look into different ways to streamline the battle system so the player can more efficiently enter commands
  • Quests
    • Will add more to the game, and add them in different locations.
    • Will look into ways for the player to confirm which quests they are currently working on.
  • Maps/Enemy/drops info presentation
    • Will add some form of notes and other items that players can gather either by purchase or through gameplay.
  • "Special" Scenes
    • Currently working on the first party Scene
    • Thinking of ways of introducing certain antagonists, and future scenes involving them
    • Thinking of future Scenes at Madam Sasha's
    • Many of the scenes, including the current placeholders, will be animated.
      • The goal is still for 20 scenes with at least 2 base images per scene (really 40 base images)
        • most of these will be animated
    • Cinnamon also has an active imagination, so there might be some sleep sequence scenes with certain characters you might not have thought about :p
